Parable Smartphone ("we," "us," "our") provides a mobile app and website

that let you chat with a helpful assistant by typing, speaking, or sharing

a photo. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it,

and your choices.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email

address and a password. Your password is stored in encrypted form.

Messages you send. We collect the text messages you type or speak to the

assistant. If you speak, your iPhone or iPad converts your voice to text

on the device using Apple's on-device speech recognition; we receive the

text only, not an audio recording.

Photos you share. If you take a photo with the camera or choose one from

your photo library to send in a message, we receive that photo.

Diagnostic information. We collect crash and basic performance data so we

can fix problems. This is provided through Apple's standard tools and is

not tied to your identity.

Server logs. Our servers automatically record information such as your

IP address, request times, and error messages, for security and to keep

the service running.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

- operate the chat service and respond to your messages;

- keep you signed in and protect your account;

- improve reliability and fix bugs;

- prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents;

- comply with legal obligations.

Third-Party Services and AI Processing

To generate the assistant's responses, we send your messages and any

photos you share to OpenAI, which acts as a sub-processor on our behalf.

OpenAI processes this content to produce a reply and does not use it to

train its models when accessed through their API. OpenAI's privacy terms

are available at https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.

We may also use service providers for hosting, error monitoring, and

email delivery. These providers are bound by contract to use your

information only to provide services to us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with

third parties for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Data Retention

We keep your account information and conversation history for as long as

your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or

anonymize your messages and photos within 30 days, except where we are

required to keep certain records for legal or security reasons. Server

logs are typically retained for up to 90 days.

Your Rights and Choices

You can:

- review and update your account information at any time;

- request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing

- withdraw permission for the camera, microphone, photo library, or

speech recognition at any time in your device's Settings app.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws

such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or

port your data, or to lodge a complaint with a data protection

Children

Parable Smartphone is not directed to children under 13, and we do not

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to

protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to

keep your data safe.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise

the "Effective date" at the top of this page. If the changes are

significant, we will provide additional notice (for example, an in-app

message).
